Laura Thunderwind

She was born to Thorgest and Kára Thunderwind, both dockworkers. One day, they had to travel to somewhere calm with clear skies and stable weather because where they were, a thunderstorm was coming and along with it a sea storm, so they had to get into a boat and quick.

While on the boat, unexpectedly, a sea storm caught the family off guard. They had to shelter themselves at the boat's hold. By the time they locked the hold's door and stayed there, a large tsunami flipped the boat upside down, as a result of sea water emerging from the locked doors' cracks.

Right after, a thunder struck the boat and subsequently Laura. The parents couldn't even get a time to catch a feeling as the lightning that strucked her daughter launched them in the hold, knocking them unconcious. Laura, shocked and impressed, was shining by the lightning that strucked her, giving her superpowers and feeling the flow of the lightning running through her veins, feeling all courageous and powerful. The lightning that strucked her made a bigger hole, with even more seawater coming inside the hold. She tried to wake her parents by shocking them back to life but all her efforts were in vein.

Eventually, with tears in her eyes, Laura had no choice but to flee the about-to-sink boat with her unconcious parents in it. The only thing she could take from her parents were two pieces of cloth from them to remember them by. Laura escaped but she passed out  in a floating barrel.

She woke up in an island with clear skies and stable weather. She didn't remember anything else from the day before but a capsizing sinking boat and didn't know where she was. Only thing she could do is survive with the barrel's supplies until she finds shelter or possibly company.

And that's how Laura Thunderwind became a Storm Valkyrie, hoping she will see her parents again...Someday...
