Edward "Scar-Eye" Hayes was one of the most wealthy and feared pirates in all of the 7 seas. Growing up wasn't easy; pirates were not known for their compassion, and that most certainly extends to their families. His father wanted his son to be tough and strong, so he had to be tough on young Edward. Even as a child, Edward was as mean as a snake and is said to have slept with his eyes open. It is said that Edward has enough power and favor to claim the title of the Pirate King back home, but he is simply biding his time and building his reputation as a champion before he returns to a life of piracy.
