She was born in a close community village up in the cold snowy mountains of Frostweave. One day, a snowstorm approached the community and destroyed everything from home shelters to fortress surrounds. Everyone got covered in snow unable to move below the layers and froze for a long period of time until the sun to come up to the rescue. Then, only a few thawed from their condition and Gwendolyn was the only one of her family that survived the snowstorm, unbeknownst to her that this event granted her immunity powers. And that's how Gwendolyn became a Valkyrie and got her name after her community village in memory of her family
